NextWave Essentials is a small New Zealand business that my partner and I started on 14 February 2025 from our one bedroom apartment. We wanted to create unique, high-quality products that were not widely available in New Zealand. We are both working full time, but we felt that if we did not start now, we never would. So we began with a simple plan. Learn as we grow, focus on quality, and build a brand that offers something different.

Our very first product was a cat toy that had been selling well in Australia. From there we shifted toward home décor after discovering a supplier that created high quality and unique metal signs. Customers loved the designs and this pushed us toward the product direction we are known for today.

In June 2025 we expanded into 3D printing. This was something I had wanted to try for years, and once we started, it quickly became one of the strongest parts of our brand. Our 3D printed products are designed and made in New Zealand, with a focus on motorsport and sport-themed décor, including collectible desk pieces and display items. These products have grown into some of our best sellers and have become a core part of our identity.

Quality and customer experience guide every choice we make. We choose or design products that feel special, unique, and different from what is typically available in New Zealand. We also work hard to ship orders within about three working days so customers get their items quickly and reliably.

Today we are based in Glenfield on Auckland’s North Shore, where we run everything from a small home office. One of our proudest moments so far has been launching our first fully designed product, the 2026 F1 calendar. It was the first time we created something from scratch as more than just a 3D print. It confirmed how much we enjoy creating original items and how much potential our brand has.

Looking ahead, we plan to keep growing our range of 3D printed pieces and unique gifts. We want NextWave Essentials to continue developing high-quality, creative products that customers will be proud to display or gift.
